Jan. 8: Perry Kealoha of Kamehameha Schools Cattle Project at Pa'auhau, Hamakua shared the research project looking to see if cattle can be finished out economically in Hawaii by using a higher protein grass by the name of Leucaena. The first goal is to "farm the grass." SDARL alumni viewed the grass paddocks and will be interested to see the results.
